Purpose
The Good Things Mail Club exists to encourage meaningful
human connection through handwritten correspondence. Membership is intended for
individuals who wish to participate in a respectful, welcoming, and supportive
community.
Age Requirement
Membership is limited to individuals who are 18 years of
age or older.
Membership
By joining the Good Things Mail Club, members agree to:
- Abide
by the Community Agreement and Community Standards & Accountability
Policy.
- Provide
accurate and current contact information.
- Notify
the Club promptly of any change in mailing address or contact information.
- Use
fellow members’ personal information only for purposes directly related to
participation in the Good Things Mail Club.
Membership Fees
Membership is billed on a recurring basis unless canceled.
Fees help cover the costs of printing, materials, postage,
administration, and operation of the Good Things Mail Club.
Cancellations
Members may cancel their membership at any time.
Cancellation will stop future recurring charges but does not automatically
refund payments already processed or shipments already prepared.
Refunds
Membership fees are generally non-refundable once a monthly
mailing has been prepared or shipped. Refund requests for exceptional
circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the Club Manager.
Pen Pal Matching
The Good Things Mail Club strives to make thoughtful matches
but cannot guarantee compatibility, friendships, or any particular outcome.
The Club may reassign pen pal matches when necessary to
support member safety, participation, or the overall health of the community.
Correspondence
Members are encouraged to communicate respectfully and in
accordance with the Community Agreement.
Members are responsible for the content of the
correspondence they send.
The Good Things Mail Club does not routinely review private
correspondence but may review letters voluntarily submitted as part of a
reported concern.
Privacy
Participation requires sharing personal information with
your assigned pen pal(s).
- Standard
Membership: Your first name and mailing address will be
shared only with your assigned pen pal(s) for the purpose of exchanging
correspondence.
- Private
Membership: Your first name only will be shared with your
assigned pen pal(s). All correspondence will be routed through the Good
Things Mail Club, and your mailing address will not be disclosed.
Members agree not to share another member’s personal
information, letters, or correspondence without that person’s permission or use
that information for purposes unrelated to participation in the Good Things
Mail Club.
Membership Status
Membership is a privilege, not a right.
The Good Things Mail Club reserves the right to suspend or
terminate membership for violations of the Community Agreement, Community
Standards & Accountability Policy, or these Terms of Membership.
The Good Things Mail Club also reserves the right to refuse
or discontinue membership when doing so is necessary to protect the safety,
trust, or mission of the community.
Changes to Membership Terms
These Terms of Membership may be updated from time to time.
Members will be notified of material changes before they take effect. Continued
participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated
Terms.
