The Good Things Mail Club exists to create meaningful human connection through handwritten letters. Every member helps shape a community where people feel welcome and respected.
As a member, I agree to:
- Write with kindness, honesty, and respect.
- Treat every correspondent with dignity, even when we differ.
- Share my perspectives without expecting agreement.
- Avoid criticizing, shaming, manipulating, or provoking others.
- Respect personal boundaries and never pressure others to continue or share more than they wish.
- Foster curiosity, empathy, and thoughtful conversation.
- Acknowledge our diverse backgrounds and viewpoints; share my experiences—including those involving religion or politics—without trying to persuade others to adopt my beliefs.
- Approach conversations about religion or politics with care and only engage when there is clear mutual interest.
- Protect the privacy of fellow members by not sharing personal information, letters, or addresses without permission.
- Contribute to a space where people feel encouraged, supported, and genuinely connected.
Our Guiding Principle
Before sending a letter, ask yourself:
“Will this letter leave the other person feeling respected, encouraged, and more connected?”
If the answer is yes, you’re writing in the spirit of the Good Things Mail Club.
