The Good Things Mail Club connects members through handwritten correspondence. Depending on the membership plan you select, certain contact information must be shared with your assigned member so that mail can be exchanged.
Please read this consent carefully before joining.
Information Shared
Standard Membership
If you select a Standard Membership, you consent to the Good Things Mail Club sharing the following information with your assigned member or members:
- Your first name
- Your mailing address
This information will be shared only for participating in Good Things Mail Club correspondence.
Private Membership
If you select a Private Membership:
- Only your first name will be shared with your assigned member or members.
- Your mailing address will not be disclosed to other members.
- Correspondence will be sent through the Good Things Mail Club’s forwarding address.
Private Membership may require additional processing time and may have a higher monthly price to cover forwarding and postage costs.
How Your Information May Be Used
Your contact information may be used only to:
- Address and send correspondence connected with the Good Things Mail Club.
- Participate in assigned member-to-member exchanges.
- Respond to correspondence received through the Club.
Members may not use another member’s information for advertising, solicitation, background searches, personal investigations, unwanted contact, or any purpose unrelated to participating in the Good Things Mail Club.
Protecting Other Members’ Information
By joining, you agree that you will not:
- Share another member’s name, address, letters, envelopes, or other personal information without permission.
- Post photographs or copies of correspondence containing identifying information online.
- Add another member to a mailing, marketing, or contact list.
- Visit another member’s home or mailing address without an express invitation.
- Continue contacting a member after being instructed to stop.
- Use member information for harassment, intimidation, fraud, or any unlawful purpose.
Misuse of another member’s information may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership.
Limits of Confidentiality
The Good Things Mail Club takes reasonable steps to protect member information. However, once information is lawfully shared with an assigned member, the Club cannot guarantee that the recipient will always handle it properly.
Suspected misuse should be reported immediately to support@goodthingsmail.com. Reports will be handled according to the Community Standards and Accountability Policy.
Changing or Withdrawing Your Consent
You may withdraw your consent to future sharing by contacting support@goodthingsmail.com.
Withdrawing consent does not reverse information that has already been shared. Because address sharing is necessary for Standard Membership, withdrawing consent may require you to:
- Change to a Private Membership;
- Pause participation while the change is processed; or
- Cancel your membership.
Changes will apply to future member assignments and mailings after the Club has had a reasonable opportunity to process the request.
Member Acknowledgment
By checking the consent box during enrollment, I confirm that:
- I am at least 18 years old.
- I have read and understand this Consent to Share Contact Information.
- I understand what information will be shared under my selected membership plan.
- I voluntarily consent to the sharing necessary to participate.
- I agree to protect information shared with me and use it only for Good Things Mail Club correspondence.
- I understand that I may withdraw my consent for future sharing by contacting the Club.
